90 Days Memberships

Photo Lab NYC is offering a limited amount of memberships.

For $400 a month, members are granted 40 hours of printing and a selection among four private color rooms, as well as one private B&W room. Members are able to make use of two Epson 12,000 XL flatbed print scanners, and are provided with chemistry as needed. Memberships are offered for a minimum of three consecutive months. Members can independently reserve time at the lab on the Members Booking Page. As a member, you are responsible for keeping track of your monthly allotted hours. Members also get 20% off all film processing and scans and 10% off all photo paper sold at Photo Lab NYC, LLC. Any member’s time surpassing forty hours within a month will be billed to the credit card kept on file. Please refer to the hourly booking page for those rates. Memberships cannot be canceled once they start and they are non-refundable. A credit card must be supplied in order to sign up, and will be kept on file while the membership is active. A reminder email will be sent three days before the end of the month and the fee will be charged to the credit card on file.

We will not suspend or cancel a membership once it starts. Before signing up, make sure you will take full advantage of the time allotted. We are not responsible for the loss of monthly hours. The forty hours expire after thirty days and they do not roll over into the following month.

Memberships are not transferable and cannot be shared with another person. Please read the terms and rules of this agreement before signing up.

If you plan to extend your membership or cancel for any reason, please notify us at least two weeks before your current membership expires.

To enroll as a member, if you are new to Photo Lab NYC please drop by to tour the facility and sign up in person. As we accept only a limited number of memberships at a time, you can request to be added to our waiting list if we are full.

Terms and Conditions.

Photo Lab NYC, LLC is offering a limited amount of memberships. The memberships are for a total of 40 hours of darkroom access a month for three consecutive months. This membership entails access to color printing, black and white printing, and scanning. The membership costs $1200 and is non-refundable. After 30 days, any unused hours will be voided. The membership will be billed as three $400 payments every 30 days to a credit card kept on file. Once the membership starts it cannot be canceled.

  • Members must start at the booked time and be out of the room by the end of the scheduled time.

  • Early Birds Special offers the possibility to book morning sessions from 9am to 12pm for our regular customers. Make sure to either book a 3hour session from 9am until noon, or a session after 12pm according to your needs.

  • Members must book scanner time in order to use the scanner.

  • For color rooms last print has to be in the machine 10 minutes before the end of the scheduled time. While the last print is in the machine please clear the room so the room is ready for the next person scheduled.

  • For the Black and White room please include your washing time as part of your scheduled time, you must be out of the room and have cleaned the room by the end of the scheduled time.

  • Members are responsible for setting up and cleaning the booked space on the color rooms.

  • Room 5 is our only B&W room but we do offer as a color printing room as needed. We ask that you please book room 5 as a color room only as a last resort.

  • For the B&W Room, members need to mix their chemicals and wash all trays used during their booked time. They must also shut down all power supplies, including timers and safelights.

  • Your safety and experience are important at Photo Lab NYC, LLC, for B&W printing please let us know of any concern you may have with the photochemistry. Please be familiar with reactions, toxicity levels, allergies and all that is pertaining of the handling of the chemicals you plan to use. We have safety goggles, nitrile gloves and aprons for your protection.

  • Eating is forbidden inside the darkrooms and we ask to please be mindful where you put your drinks. Refrain from putting open cups and open bottles on the counter in the viewing area.

  • We ask you to please be careful with dripping trays while walking around the premises, if fixer has been spilled on the floor there is a mop and bucket to clean up–please use it.

  • Please be considerate, refrain from been on your phone for extended periods of time. If you must take a long phone call please step out and converse there.

  • We hold members responsible for the cost of replacement or fixing any damage piece of equipment due to negligence or misuse. Photo lab NYC is only responsible for replacing enlarging bulbs and maintenance of the equipment.

Student’s Membership

Photo Lab NYC is offering a special membership to students of Photography and Visual Arts BFA and MFA programs from the region. For only $200 a month you get access to the whole facility. If your program has been issued a coupon, you cannot get an extra disount on the membership but can definitely use it for paper packs, workshop, and any extra hours besides your membership.

Make sure to register using your student’s email address when registering. Memberships are not transferable and cannot be shared with another person. Please make sure to read our Student’s Membership terms and conditions before signing up.

Student’s Membership

Photo Lab NYC, LLC is offering a special Student’s Membership for anyone enrolled in a BFA or MFA Photography program in the region. This membership is for a total of 20 hours of darkroom access a month, which can be renewed each month for as long as enrolled in Photography BFA or MFA. This membership entails access to color printing, black and white printing, and scanning. The membership costs $200 and is non-refundable. After 30 days, any unused hours will be voided. The membership will be billed as a $200 payment on the day of creation of the membership. Once the membership starts it cannot be canceled.

  • Make sure to use your student address provided by your school to sign up for this membership.

  • Memberships are not transferable and cannot be shared with another person. Likewise you may not invite another person during your booked time.

  • Members must start at the booked time and be out of the room by the end of the scheduled time.

  • Early Birds Special offers the possibility to book morning sessions from 9am to 12pm for our regular customers. Make sure to either book a 3hour session from 9am until noon, or a session according to your needs from 9am or noon until any wished hour during our opening hours.
